My journal fell in a mop bucket at work and 6 months of spreads are gone
Last Thursday at the diner I work at in Boise I knocked my bag off the counter and my journal landed right in the mop bucket. Water went through about 40 pages of habit trackers, a mood log I kept since January, and my whole budget section for February. I tried the rice trick for two days and it just got moldy and warped worse. Now I'm starting fresh but honestly thinking about going digital because I can't lose a whole year again. Has anyone actually saved a soaked journal or is it always a lost cause?
Did the ink actually run or is it mostly smeared? If the pages are still readable you might be able to dry it slow between paper towels and save some of it. What kind of pen were you using, was it a gel or a ballpoint?
