Spent $45 on a fancy washi tape set and it betrayed me

I bought this 12-pack of pastel washi tapes off Amazon for my January spread. They looked so cute in the listing but the adhesive is TERRIBLE, like they peel off after an hour. My habit tracker is now a sad mess of curling edges. Has anyone found a brand that actually sticks to regular notebook paper?

Stick with Mt. Fuji brand washi tape, that stuff holds like crazy even on thin notebook pages. Just make sure you press it down firmly for a few seconds when you apply it. The colors are nice and soft too, nothing too loud.

Wait, really? Mt. Fuji brand? I bought a roll of their mint green tape last year and it literally fell off my journal page after three days. I thought I was going crazy but it just peeled right off without even leaving a residue or anything. Maybe I got a bad batch or something because everyone else seems to love it.
