That friend who told me to use a BUJO for my cleaning business schedule was dead wrong about layouts

My buddy Mark insisted I needed a fancy weekly spread with time blocks for each house I clean. I tried it for 3 weeks and it was a DISASTER because clients cancel or reschedule all the time. Ended up wasting 2 hours every Sunday drawing up grids that became useless by Tuesday. Has anyone else found a simpler way to track daily client visits without over-planning?

Ditch the weekly layouts and just use a daily checklist on a single page. Post-it notes are your friend here - stick one per client with their address and any special notes, then rearrange them as things change. I keep a plain spiral notebook with date at the top and list of houses underneath, cross off as I go. Takes 30 seconds to set up each morning and you can scribble cancelations right there instead of redrawing a whole grid.

Well, you've put your finger on something bigger there. It's funny how we overcomplicate things in life when the simplest system usually works best, whether it's for work or just keeping track of groceries. I've noticed people spend more time making fancy plans than actually doing the tasks, when a scrap of paper and a pen would have saved them hours.
