I ran into a guy at a coffee shop in Boise last week who saw me penciling 1 inch squares into my notebook and asked why I was fighting the dots. He flipped to a blank page and doodled a quick weekly layout freehand, saying "the grid is a guide, not a cage," and it honestly clicked for me right there. Now I'm wondering if I've been overthinking my spreads this whole time, so how did you all get past the urge to make every box perfectly even?
