Finally switched from band saw to a hand saw for breaking down primals and it's night and day

I used my old Hobart band saw for years cutting up beef primals, but last week I grabbed a 12-inch bone saw from the hardware store on a whim. The band saw always left a ton of bone dust and I'd lose like 3% yield on each subprimal from the mess. With the hand saw I get cleaner cuts, less waste, and I can actually feel where the bones are instead of just guessing. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a big difference in their trim?

Buddy of mine switched and said his band saw is now a dust collector.

I heard some people say that saw gets way less use once you switch to a bandsaw mill.

100%. My trim yield went up a solid 2% after I ditched my bandsaw.
