Honestly marywells, it was a losing battle from the start. That ice was gone in like 36 hours, tops. Felt like watching a horror movie where the monster is just the sun. One minute you've got a kiddie pool full of beef and ice, the next it's just a sad, lukewarm meat soup. Had to cook everything that second day in a total panic, my kitchen looked like a barbecue factory exploded.

Oh man, a whole side of beef. That is a serious amount of food to try and save. I can feel the panic just reading that, scrambling to find a kiddie pool in the middle of a heatwave. That is some next level emergency thinking right there. Major respect for pulling that off.
