That $200 vacuum sealer finally clicked for me

I've been wrapping briskets in plastic wrap for years, but after a big sale last month I broke down and bought one for $200. It paid for itself on the first batch of short ribs, kept them from freezer burn for a full 6 weeks. Anyone else find it hard to go back to bagging after trying one?

Man, that vacuum sealer is a game changer for real. I bought a cheaper one last year and it paid for itself after the first big sale on pork butts. I used to find frostbitten meat in the back of my freezer all the time, now everything looks as good as the day I packed it. The best part is marinating stuff in the bag, chicken thighs soak up that sauce way better. And forget about wrapping things in plastic wrap, that never sealed tight and always leaked. Once you go the vac seal route, there's no going back, plain and simple.
