Can we talk about the guy who left a 1-star review because his delivery driver didn't ring twice?
I met a guy at a coffee shop downtown last Tuesday who said he'd never trust online reviews again after seeing a 1-star rating for a book he loved, which was based entirely on a shipping issue, not the actual story. Have you ever trusted a bad review only to later realize it was about something totally unrelated to the product?

People who write reviews like that are just venting about their own bad day. The rating system is broken when delivery complaints get mixed in with actual product feedback. But honestly, you can spot those junk reviews from a mile away.

I mean, I get that it's annoying when people leave bad reviews for the wrong reasons, but I think we're blowing this way out of proportion. You can usually tell pretty quickly if a review is about the product itself or something dumb like shipping or delivery. Most of the time you just have to read the first line and you know whether it's worth paying attention to. Honestly, if someone is going to base their whole opinion of a book or a product on one obviously stupid review, they probably weren't that committed to buying it in the first place.
