How a handwritten note from Iowa changed my whole review routine

Back in 2017 a seller on eBay sent me a card with their kid's drawing on it after I left a 3 star review about shipping speed, and I felt bad enough to rewrite it. Now I always wait a day before posting anything negative, has anyone else softened their ratings after an actual human response?
