I finally got why folks rave about the antique mall in Lancaster

Went to the antique mall off Route 30 near Lancaster last month, not expecting much. Found a 1970s Pyrex dish for $12, brought it home, and it bakes way more even than my new casserole pan. Guess I learned that sometimes older stuff really does hold up better than what you buy today. Anyone else had a surprise hit from an antique mall find?

You ever have one of those finds that just works way better than you expected? My buddy picked up an old cast iron skillet at a flea market for like ten bucks, been using it for years now and swears it cooks better than anything he can buy new.

Holy crap, ten bucks? That's insane. @miles798 your buddy basically stole that thing. Those old ones are so much better than the new ones, they just have that perfect smooth surface you can't really find anymore.
