I just realized I was leaving fake reviews on Amazon for a whole year because I thought I had to review everything I bought
What tipped me off was when I got an email from a brand asking me to review a blender I returned 6 months earlier, and now I'm wondering how many other buyers are doing the same thing without thinking about it.

Heard from my friend Sarah that she's been doing the same thing for over two years because she thought the "Write a review" popup meant it was mandatory before you could use the product... She didn't realize until her husband pointed out she was reviewing stuff they'd never even opened. Now she's just leaving them up because apparently the freebies she got for reviewing are too good to give up.

Nah that's kinda relatable honestly. I've clicked through popups without thinking plenty of times. Two years is wild though. Feels bad she was grinding for nothing but hey at least she got some free stuff out of it. I'd probably leave them up too if the perks kept coming. Free is free right?
