Rant: I finally left a review for a local coffee shop after three years of going there
So there's this little place in my town called The Daily Grind, and I've been grabbing my morning coffee there since I moved here. For three whole years, I never wrote a review, even though I loved it. I just kept thinking 'someone else will do it' or 'they know I'm a regular.' Last Tuesday, I finally sat down on their site and wrote a short, honest five-star review about their consistent brew and how the barista, Mark, always remembers my order. I got a notification yesterday that the owner replied, thanking me personally and saying my kind words made his week. It felt so good to actually say something instead of just thinking it. Has anyone else put off leaving a review for a place they genuinely love for way too long?

Oh man, that reminds me of this tiny record store I used to go to every Saturday. The owner was this older guy who knew everything about 70s punk, and he'd always pull something aside he thought I'd like. I told myself for ages I'd write a review, you know, to help him out. Never did. Then I drove by last month and the place was just... gone. Empty. Felt awful, like I owed him that little bit of help and just never got around to it. Good on you for actually doing it.
