Rant: The 4.8 star vacuum with 2,000 reviews that died after 11 months
I bought this robot vacuum off Amazon because it had like 2,000 reviews and sat at 4.8 stars. Felt bulletproof, you know? Then last week, right at 11 months in, the battery just gave up. No warning, just died mid-clean and won't hold a charge past 10 minutes. I dug into the negative reviews and found a pattern. Lots of 1 star posts from people around the 10 to 12 month mark saying the same exact thing. The 4.8 number hides that because the positive reviews poured in during the first few weeks while it worked fine. So here's the debate: should we trust the overall star rating or are we all just ignoring the timing of when reviews get posted? Has anyone else bought something with a killer rating and had it fall apart right after the return window?

Yup, my toaster has 5 stars and still burns everything. Guess I'm the problem.
