Remember when buyer reviews on Amazon were just a few honest lines?
I was looking at a vacuum cleaner the other day and scrolling through hundreds of reviews. Back in 2016, I bought the same brand from a seller in Ohio and only three people had written about it. They all talked about how it picked up dog hair on their shag rug and that was enough for me to hit buy. Now I gotta filter through five star reviews that all say the same generic stuff. Anyone else feel like you can't trust most of these anymore?

Totally agree, sorting by newest is the only way to go now. @quinns20 made a solid point about ignoring the verified purchase tag too. I caught myself reading a glowing review on a coffee maker the other day and it literally said "great product" with zero detail.
