Returned a $120 air purifier after reading the 1-star reviews first

Had a moldy smell in my garage in Phoenix. I almost bought it on sale, but scrolled the bad reviews and found 40 people saying the filter clogs in 2 weeks. Then I saw the seller's replies, they blamed the buyer every time. Took it back same day. Anyone else check the low rating section before buying anything now?
