That review about the $200 blender made me question my whole kitchen setup

I saw a buyer review on a store site yesterday where someone trashed a $200 blender after it died in 8 months, and the kicker was they admitted to running it 3 times a day for smoothies. I never thought about how often I use my own appliances until that comment. My cheap $40 mixer has lasted 4 years, but I only use it on weekends, so maybe the math works out differently than I assumed. Has anyone else looks at their own habits after reading a harsh review and realized the product was never the problem?

Guessing my $40 one would've been dead in a month with that kind of abuse.
