The 5-star review that mentioned a defect is now my favorite
So I was scrolling through reviews for a desk lamp I bought on a whim last month, right? One of the five-star reviews casually mentioned that the base wobbles a bit on carpet, but they still loved it. I almost skipped it, but then I realized that kind of honesty is gold. That one detail told me more than the 40 other five-star reviews that just said 'great lamp'. I dug deeper and found the same wobble complaint buried in a three-star review, but that person called it useless. Same issue, totally different verdict. Now I sort reviews by 'most helpful' and look for specific flaws, not just ratings. It changed how I shop online completely, has anyone else started reading the negative bits in positive reviews first?
