Can we talk about how a client's comment made me ditch my old drawer slide method?
They pointed out a slight racking issue on a heavy file drawer I built last month, so I switched to full-extension undermounts with a 150lb rating. Anyone have a favorite brand for heavy-duty applications?

Remember when everyone used those basic side-mount slides for everything? I had a big toolbox cabinet totally fail on me because of them. The whole drawer just kind of twisted and dropped one corner when it was full of sockets. That was the day I swore off anything that wasn't a heavy duty undermount.

Classic side mount slides were basically just a suggestion that your tools should stay in the drawer. Watching a loaded socket drawer nosedive is a special kind of betrayal. You go from organized mechanic to a guy on his knees picking up a hundred pieces of chrome. Undermounts are the only way to go unless you enjoy that kind of surprise toolbox failure.
