Tried wiping down a maple face frame with denatured alcohol before the final coat and it left a weird, cloudy haze in spots.
Honestly, I think the alcohol pulled some tannins or moisture to the surface because I only waited 20 minutes after a light sanding, so has anyone else had this happen and know a surefire fix besides sanding it all back down?

You're right about the tannins. Let it dry for a full day, then try a light scuff with a gray pad instead of sanding. Sometimes that cleans it up.

Waiting a full day won't fix the problem, you need to sand it back now. The haze is from the finish itself, not just surface moisture.
