Had an AT&T customer yell at me for 10 minutes about buried lines
Up in Springfield last month a guy blamed me personally for his cable being cut by a neighbor digging a fence post hole. Now I always walk the full property line before trenching anything even if the prints look clean. Any of you had a customer blow up over something that wasnt your fault?

Man, that is rough. I had a guy chase me down in his truck once because his sprinkler line got nicked. Turns out it was the same crew that paved his driveway a week before, but he still wanted to lay into me about it. Folks get so fired up about their property they forget we're just the ones holding the shovel. Best thing you can do is stay calm and let them vent, then show them the prints or the permits if you have them. Most of the time they calm down once they realize you're on their side.
