Just wasted $80 on a cheap toner and probe kit
Bought a no-name toner off Amazon for $80 and it couldn't even trace a live coax through a drywall wall. Spent 2 hours chasing dead signals. Anyone else have luck with the Fluke or Klein kits instead?

Wait, $80 for a no-name toner? I could've told you that was gonna be a disaster before you even opened the box lol. I got burned on a $50 Amazon special last year and it wouldn't even tone a bare copper wire six inches away from the probe. The Klein VDV500 series is what I switched to, that thing actually works on live cables without screaming at you.
