Overheard a lineman at the supply house drop a tip about grounding blocks
I was grabbing connectors in Albany yesterday and this old timer told me to stop using dielectric grease on aerial grounding blocks because it traps moisture. He said a dry connection with a good torque rating actually lasts longer in wet climates. Any of you guys run into issues with corrosion on those blocks after a few months?

Hold on, so you're saying the old school guys swear by dry torque instead of grease? I've always caked those things in dielectric and never thought twice about it.

Yeah same here, dielectric grease was just the default for me until I switched.
