Pre-terminated cables are supposed to be faster, but they always cause issues in tight spots.

Had to fish a pre-term through a 2-inch conduit last week. The connector snagged on everything and added an hour to the job. I get the supposed time savings, but the frustration in cramped spaces is real. They never seem to bend right where you need them to.

How did you have your pull string attached? I had the same fight with a pre-term last month. What finally worked was taping the connector tight against the cable with electrical tape to make a smoother bullet shape. It still caught a bit, but way less. @morgan329 I feel your pain on that added hour, it's brutal when a simple pull turns into a wrestling match. Sometimes a little extra prep on the head saves a ton of fight later.

On most half-inch conduits, a basic tape wrap and plenty of lube gets that connector through just fine. I've done dozens of pulls where the supposed snag point never even felt a catch. Maybe it's more about the pull angle or the tape job being too bulky... honestly think a lot of the fight comes from rushing the setup.
