PSA: I just wasted $45 on a 'universal' coax crimper that didn't fit the connectors my company uses.

It was a total waste because the die was just slightly off, and I had to go buy the right one anyway. Anyone else have a go-to brand for crimpers that actually work on everything?

Forty-five dollars for a crimper that doesn't crimp is a special kind of frustration.

Ever check if the crimper is for RG6 or RG59? Those "universal" ones usually only fit one cable type. Your connectors might be for a different size coax, like LMR400, which needs a totally different die. The label on the box is almost always wrong.

LMR400 die sets are impossible to find locally too.
