Rant: I think we need to talk about how we handle attic runs in the summer
I was on a job in Phoenix last July, doing a solo install in a house with no attic ventilation. The temp up there was easily 130 degrees. Everyone says to just power through it, but I hit a point where I was seeing spots and my hands were shaking too much to strip a coax. I called the customer, told them the truth about the safety risk, and rescheduled for a 5 AM start the next day. My dispatcher was mad, but the customer was fine with it and I got the job done right without passing out. Sometimes the 'tough it out' culture is just dumb. Has anyone else had to push back on a schedule for heat safety?

Good on you for setting a boundary, because that "tough it out" garbage gets people killed.

Yeah but come on, is it really THAT bad? I've done plenty of hot attic jobs. Just drink more water and take breaks. @robertanderson is overreacting, nobody's getting killed from a little heat.
