Swapped from coax to fiber splitters last month, night and day difference
I was running a three way coax split on a big apartment complex job and kept getting signal drop complaints. Switched to a fiber optic tap setup instead and everything stayed clean across all units. Has anyone else had better luck with fiber taps over old school coax splits?

Oh man, coax splits get dicey real fast past a certain distance. Fiber taps just handle the load way cleaner no matter how long the runs get. Once you go fiber in a big building you never wanna go back.

Ask what kind of distance you were pushing through that coax before you switched. I'm curious if the drop issues were more about cable length than the splitter itself. I had a similar setup in a four story building and the runs over 200 feet were the only ones giving me trouble.
