Switched from a standard 6-foot ladder to a 4-foot platform for attic runs and it cut my time in half.

I was doing a job in a tight, low attic in an older part of town and kept having to reposition my old ladder every few feet. The small platform let me stand and move sideways to pull cable across six joists without climbing down once. What's your go-to tool for those cramped spaces?

Honestly a brilliant move with the platform. My own attic strategy usually involves a lot of awkward crouching and regretting my life choices. That kind of small change in gear can make a miserable job almost tolerable.

Man, @morgan.adam you hit the nail on the head. I spent a whole weekend up in my crawlspace running new cable and I still feel that regret in my knees. That plywood trick is a game changer. It's amazing what a simple platform does for your back when you're not constantly trying to balance on two-by-fours in the dark. Makes the whole job feel less like a punishment.

Awkward crouching and life regrets, yeah that's the truth. Read a forum post once where a guy just used a big piece of plywood across the joists as a mini work platform. Same basic idea.
