That one job in the old apartment building on 5th Street
We had to run a new line through three floors of plaster and lath, and the owner wanted zero holes patched. I spent a whole day fishing with my old flexible bit and a ton of patience, finding paths the original installers must have used back in the '70s. What's the oldest building you've had to work in, and how did you handle it?

Old buildings are a pain, but was it really that big of a deal?

I saw a report about the old courthouse renovation downtown. The project went over budget by two million dollars because of asbestos and lead paint removal. Those safety fixes aren't optional, but they add a huge hidden cost. It makes you wonder how many other towns are dealing with the same surprise bills.
