Told the new guy to skip the drill on brick, he listened, and now I look like the odd one
Everyone in my shop says you need a hammer drill for every brick job, but I ran 60 feet of coax through a 1920s house in Cincinnati last Tuesday with just a masonry bit and my old Milwaukee. The drill walked on me twice and chewed up one anchor, but the brick held fine and the customer was happy. Anyone else think the hammer drill thing is mostly overkill for older soft brick, or am I setting myself up for a callback?
