We had a guy at our shop last year who kept leaving fast food bags in his van. Took out the entire wiring harness behind the dashboard, cost over two grand to fix. What's the worst damage you've actually seen from mice or rats, like did they go for a specific part like the engine wiring or the cabin fuse box?

Honestly "cost over two grand" for a wiring harness sounds high to me. Those parts can be found used or from a lower cost supplier, and the labor shouldn't be that crazy unless it's a really packed dash. I'm a bit skeptical it's always that serious.
