Best day in my shop in months happened last Wednesday

I was fixing a beat up Canon AE-1 that someone dropped off and usually those shutter curtains are a pain. But for some reason everything lined up perfectly on the first try and the meter came back accurate too. Then right after that a guy came in with a vintage Rolleiflex that just needed a simple mirror clean and he paid me $80 cash on the spot. I even found a stray screw I thought I lost on the floor from a previous job still sitting on my bench mat. Whole day felt like good karma or something. Has anyone else had a repair day where the cameras just cooperated and you got lucky?

Honestly never thought about it like a karma thing but you might be onto something. I've had days where my bench felt more like a puzzle box and other days where the light just hits different and everything clicks. There's something about those vintage cameras that seem to reward the patience, like they know you're trying to help them out. Maybe it's the universe balancing out all the times you spend an hour hunting down a single screw that rolled under the shelf.
