Frustrated, a $12 set of JIS drivers saved a Nikon F3 mount that two other guys gave up on
Had an F3 come in last month with a mount that was loose and gritty and I was about to quote a full mount swap at $180. Turns out every screw on that body is JIS, not Phillips, and my old driver was rounding the heads just enough to fake me out. Ordered a $12 set of Vessel drivers off Amazon, got the mount off in 20 minutes, cleaned the old grease, and it's solid again. Two other techs in town told the owner it needed a whole new mount assembly, so now I feel like an idiot for not checking this years ago.
