Switched from canned air to a compressor for sensor cleaning and wish I did it years ago
I spent five years using those expensive canned air duster cans for cleaning camera sensors on my bench. They run out fast and the cost adds up quick, probably around $200 a year for me. Last month I finally bought a little 1 gallon compressor from Harbor Freight for $40 and a proper air gun attachment. It blows way stronger and I don't have to worry about liquid propellant spraying out. Has anyone else made this switch and noticed a difference in how clean they get the sensor?

Wait, hold up - you were spending $200 A YEAR on canned air? That's absolutely bonkers to me (and I thought I was bad for overspending on gear). The liquid propellant thing is real too, I had a can of that stuff spit frosty liquid all over my living room rug once and it left a weird stain. I've been thinking about picking up a little compressor but kept telling myself it wasn't worth the hassle, but hearing you say it blows stronger has me rethinking everything.

$200 a year is just how much compressed gas costs for heavy users like me.
