Had to choose between a detached garage and a basement suite for my rental property in Edmonton
I was looking at a house near Whyte Avenue and had to pick one option to add value for under $60,000. I went with the basement suite because the numbers showed a quicker payoff, but now I'm dealing with moisture issues in the ceiling that a garage never would have caused. Has anyone else faced this kind of trade-off and regretted their choice?
