Had to choose between a tiny condo with a view or a bigger place with no windows
I was looking at two places in Vancouver last month, both around the same crazy price. One was a 400 sq ft condo with a killer view of the water, but the bedroom was basically a closet. The other was 600 sq ft with more room, but it faced a brick wall and felt like a cave. I went with the view, thinking I could handle the small space. After three weeks, I'm constantly bumping into things and my sofa bed blocks the door when it's open. The view is nice, but I'm starting to wonder if more elbow room would have been smarter. Has anyone else picked a great view over actual living space and regretted it?

My buddy chose a place with a view and now he can't fit his coffee table.

My old apartment in Denver had a huge window facing the mountains. I would have given up a whole living room set for that view any day. A coffee table is just a place to put your feet up, but a good view changes your whole mood. Your buddy made the right call, furniture can always be worked around.
