Rented a townhouse in Hamilton instead of buying a condo downtown. Best call I made.

My buddy rushed into a condo pre-sale in Toronto back in 2022 and now he's stuck with higher fees than he planned. I looked at two options side by side and the Hamilton place gave me double the space for $300 less a month. Has anyone else made a similar switch and regretted it?

Best call I made" is right. My cousin did the same thing - moved to some place in Burlington and now he spends his weekends actually enjoying his deck instead of listening to his neighbor's arguments through thin walls. The only thing he regrets is that his commute is like 20 minutes longer but he says it's worth it for having a real yard where his dog doesn't have to go on a fake grass balcony.
