Took 14 months but my basement suite finally passed the rental inspection in Hamilton

After fixing the egress window, adding a second smoke detector, and rewiring the kitchen outlet myself, the inspector signed off yesterday and I have my first tenant moving in next week, has anyone else dealt with those older home retrofit rules?

Oh congrats, that's a big win! Just a heads up though, Hamilton's rules also require the smoke detectors to be hardwired together, not just battery powered, for rental units.
