A stranger's comment about my tire pressure changed my whole routine

Guy at a gas station in Edmonton told me my rear tire looked low, I brushed him off, then checked and found 22 psi instead of 40. Now I check every Sunday morning before any trip, has anyone else gotten useful tips from random strangers?

So how many Sundays in a row did you stick with it before it became a habit? I'm asking because most people hear one good tip and forget it by the next week. That gas station guy basically saved you from a blowout, and I'm curious if that kind of scare is what makes the new routine actually last.
