Rant: My trailer brake controller died on the 401 at 5:30 this morning
Was hauling a 6,000 lb skid steer near Kingston when the controller started flashing error codes and the brakes locked up at 90 km/h, so I pulled over and spent 45 minutes swapping in a spare from my tool box, has anyone else had these units fail randomly after 3 years of light use?

Man, that's a rough way to start the day. Having brakes lock up at speed with a heavy load is genuinely scary, so good on you for keeping your cool and getting it sorted. Three years of light use dying that suddenly sounds like a real quality issue, hope the spare holds up better.
