Rim shot off on the Trans-Canada near Golden last Tuesday
I was hauling a packed trailer through the Kicking Horse Pass. A pothole popped my rear rim right at 80 km/h. Anyone else had rim issues on the mountain highways out here?

Golden at 80 km/h? Sounds like the highway decided to give you a free alignment test lol. I lost a wheel bearing on that same stretch near Field a couple years back, right where the pavement goes all wavy. Those mountain roads treat your rims like they owe them money.

Drove a few months back and same thing happened to me near the same spot. Swapped to reinforced rims from a truck shop in Calgary and haven't had any trouble since. @the_kevin is right about those wavy pavement sections - they'll chew up anything.
