Showerthought: my rain gear from Canadian Tire outlasted the $300 set I ordered online
Rode through a downpour from Guelph to Kitchener last Tuesday in a $60 set of Tuff Gear pants I grabbed at the auto parts counter, and I stayed bone dry the whole way. The fancy online set I paid $300 for started leaking at the knees after two rides, so now it sits in the garage looking expensive and useless. Anyone else find that the cheap stuff at the local shop just works better than the mail order gear?
