Spent 3 hours trying to sync a new TORC rear derailleur on my trail bike in North Van
I picked up a Shimano TORC derailleur for my hardtail and thought it would be a quick swap. Took me three full hours on a Saturday just to get the B-tension and limit screws dialed because the manual was useless. The shop in Lynn Valley told me it should take 20 minutes tops. Anybody else run into a simple bike part install that ate up way more time than makes sense?

You ever have one of those days where you're just fighting the bike and it's fighting back? I had a similar thing with a simple chain replacement last spring. Bought a new KMC chain, watched a video that said it's a 10 minute job. Spent two hours trying to get the master link to snap in place, my fingers were killing me, then I dropped the little clip in the gravel and spent another hour on my hands and knees with a flashlight. Finally found it stuck to a magnet I forgot I had on my workbench. Bike parts are like that sometimes, they just want to humble you.

And here I thought I was the only one who gets owned by a $5 master link. You gotta love getting humbled by a bike part in your own driveway, @felixw68.
