That $1200 electric bike battery upgrade was a scam
Bought a fancy replacement battery for my commuter e-bike back in March, thought it'd give me an extra 30km of range. Turns out the wiring harness on my old model doesn't even support it, so it just dies after 10 minutes of pedal assist. Has anyone else gotten burned by aftermarket battery claims that don't match real Canadian winter conditions?

Ngl, $1200 for a battery that dies after 10 minutes is brutal. That's more than some used e-bikes cost around here, and the wiring thing should've been caught before they took your money. Honestly, sounds like they sold you a paperweight with extra steps.
