That old-timer at the Tim Hortons counter gave me a riding lesson I didn't ask for
Last Saturday morning I grabbed a coffee before heading out on Highway 7 east of London, and this retired biker in his 70s saw my helmet and started chatting. He looked at my bike and said, 'Your rear shock's set for a 90 pound passenger, not a 180 pound rider,' and he was dead on. We spent 15 minutes in the parking lot while he showed me how to dial in the sag using just a zip tie and a measuring tape. I've been riding for 6 years and never once thought about suspension setup until that moment. Has anyone else had a stranger give them a free fix that saved them a shop fee?
