The Garmin mount rattled loose on the Trans Canada, my phone almost died

Rode from Calgary to Banff last weekend and my phone mount shook apart around Canmore. I had the cheap plastic one, not the metal version, and it just gave up at 110 km/h. My phone bounced on the tank bag, luckily the magnet held. Learned that torque specs on those little screws matter way more than I thought, I never checked them after install. Now I carry a spare screwdriver and check the mounts before every long ride. Anyone else had a mount fail mid-trip, or am I the only one who skipped the locktite?
