Unpopular opinion: I saved $200 by ignoring the fancy 'winter tire package'
Honestly, everyone in my Calgary riding group kept telling me I had to buy the full studded tire setup from a big shop. I tried using a basic set of all-weather tires from Kijiji for my Kawasaki instead, and after riding through two snowstorms last January, they handled fine. The trick was just lowering my tire pressure by 3 PSI and taking it slow on the Deerfoot Trail. Has anyone else done the cheap route and actually been surprised?

@brooke_nguyen65 tires had great tread but you actually want high pressure for snow not low.

Did you check if the Kijiji tires had decent tread depth left before buying them?
