Vent: Found a hidden gravel washout on the Sea to Sky trail last Tuesday

I was riding the Sea to Sky trail near Squamish last Tuesday and almost went over my bars when my front tire dropped into a huge washout hidden under some leaves. It was about 2 feet deep and 4 feet wide, totally invisible until you're right on it. I flagged down a few other riders to warn them, but nobody had marked it on Trailforks yet. Has anyone else run into surprise trail damage like this after the spring melt?

Carried a folding saw after that for quick trail fixes.

Read a blog post where a guy used a folding saw to clear branches after a storm. Kept his hike going without backtracking. Seems like a solid backup tool to have.
