Was drilling into my frame for 3 years before someone stopped me
I was mounting a rear rack on my commuter bike last Tuesday and a guy at the shop watched me grab my drill. He asked why I was putting holes in my frame when there were threaded eyelets right there. I had never once looked for them because my old bike from 2008 didn't have any. Has anyone else found out they were missing something obvious like this?

I used to think eyelets were just for fenders (if you even needed them) but your post changed my mind. I checked my frame and found three I'd never noticed before.

Yeah, that bit about finding three you never noticed before really hit home. I had the same thing happen after someone pointed it out in a group ride. Suddenly my frame had these little holes I'd been ignoring for years. It's wild how little details like that can completely change how you look at your bike. @avery629 it's a good feeling though right, like you just unlocked something.
