Climate controlled storage unit cost me double but paid off

I kept my 2007 Miata in a regular $95/month unit for two winters in Columbus. Second spring I found mold spots on the seats and a cracked dash that was fine when it went in. Switched to a climate controlled place at $175/month and after 18 months the car looks exactly how I parked it. Anyone else pay the premium just to stop chasing humidity damage in their stored ride?

Same thing happened with my truck, shelled out for climate control and never looked back.
