Pro tip: I thought putting my car on jack stands in the garage for a month would warp the tires, it did not
I parked my project car on 4 jack stands in my garage in Boise from January to March while I replaced the clutch, and I was sure the tires would develop flat spots or the suspension would sag. I checked the tire pressure weekly with a $12 gauge, kept it at 32 psi, and when I dropped it back down the tires were round and the ride felt the same. My neighbor who has stored his Corvette every winter for 15 years said the real danger is leaving the car on tires for 6 months without moving it at all. Was I just lucky, or do flat spots only happen when a car sits on the ground for way longer? Curious what you all do for longer storage.
